Collection: Chrysocolla
Chrysocolla develops as a secondary mineral in the oxidation zones of copper deposits, typically alongside other weathering products like malachite and azurite. The mineral is prized for its distinctive blue-green hues and characteristic botryoidal formations. While chrysocolla rarely produces well-defined crystals on its own, it frequently grows as a pseudomorph that encrusts associated minerals such as quartz. This creates striking specimens where sharp, geometric crystal forms meet rounded or fibrous masses, resulting in beautiful textural and visual contrasts that make these pieces especially appealing to collectors.
