Collection: Apophyllite
Apophyllite is a mineral group prized for its lustrous, well-formed crystals. This secondary mineral forms primarily in the vesicular cavities (amygdules) of basalt through low-temperature hydrothermal processes. Apophyllite crystals range from colorless and water-clear to pale green, pink, yellow, or white. The Deccan Traps of India is one of the most prolific localities for apophyllite, where they are often found alongside other minerals such as stilbite, heulandite, and calcite.
