An excellent apophyllite specimen with distinct striations and sharp, well-defined prism faces sitting atop a thin plate of black basalt. the dark matrix provides strong contrast, highlighting the clarity and geometric form. sourced from the deccan traps of India and mined in the early 2000s, this specimen remained in a private collection until recently. A wonderful combination of aesthetic appeal with geological provenance.
