Celestine from this locality exhibits notable diversity, ranging from distinctive blocky crystals (usually associated with fine white "snowball" calcites) to lustrous groups of tabular crystals in radial arrangements with slight offsets from parallel growth. Calcite occurs in a spectrum of colors including white, golden-yellow, and dark brown. Notably, some specimens display a striking golden hue paired with a characteristic waxy luster, earning them the local designation "honey calcite."
