Spessartine & Smoky Quartz

A different look than most Tongbei quartz and garnet combos, this piece has darker, amber-colored spessartines wrapped around the base of a quartz crystal with a very light smoky hue. In addition to a unique coloration, the spessartine garnets display a fantastic adamantine luster and illuminate beautifully when backlit. Specimens from this locality are becoming increasingly less common, especially those as aesthetically pleasing as this one.
