Spessartine Garnets on Microcline

Dark red spessartine garnet crystals on an clay-altered microcline matrix. A beautiful piece with excellent luster and rich color. The spessartines range from an almost dark red that appears nearly black until a light is shined through the crystals, to a to a lighter red-orange seen in the smaller crystals crystals.
