Spessartine Garnet on Smoky Quartz

Vibrant orange spessartine garnets rest on dark smoky quartz in this striking specimen from Fujian Province. Some of the garnets are partially embedded within the quartz, creating an appealing depth to the piece. The smoky quartz features sharply defined, vitreous crystal faces that contrast beautifully with the adamantine luster of the garnets.
