Spessartine Garnet

Beautiful and lustrous spessartine garnets out of the Wushan Spessartine Mine in Fujian Province, China. An attractive specimen featuring sharp, well-formed crystals with an adamantine luster. The garnets display a striking dark red-orange which appears nearly black until the crystals are illuminated. With production from Wu Mountain now strictly regulated, specimens from the locale have become increasingly scarce, making this an even more uncommon find.
