A remarkable quartz, microcline variety adularia, and epidote thumbnail specimen from the historic Mass C shaft in Ontonagon, Michigan. I acquired this piece from Karl Schaffer who collected it in the early 70s when he and his friends were exploring the now inaccessible Mass Mine. The piece features peach-colored microcline crystals, colored by disseminated copper, strikingly contrasted against milky quartz and green epidote. A unique and hard to come by piece of Michigan's rich mining history.
