Barite

A striking barite crystal from the Linwood Mine in Iowa, featuring an elongated form with a sharp chisel-tip termination. The main crystal displays an uncommon silvery hue—an attractive and less frequently seen color at this locality, where golden barite is more typical. Several small barite clusters rest along the prism faces as riders, adding subtle texture and complexity to the piece. A fine and well-composed example from this classic Midwestern locality.
