An old-stock hemimorphite from the classic locality of Mapimí, Durango, Mexico, featuring lustrous fans of glistening crystals arranged across the matrix. The crystals range from white to clear, with vertically striated faces and broad, well-developed terminations. The open, balanced arrangement shows the crystals to good advantage, and the bright luster gives the piece plenty of life. A choice example of the species from a historic Mexican source.
