A fine pairing of native copper, prehnite, and microcline from the Osceola Mine in Houghton County, Michigan, and one of the most attractive combinations of these minerals we have encountered. Nestled in a pocket lined with brick-orange microcline crystals, spherical groupings of lustrous prehnite sit alongside metallic crystals of native copper. The blocky terminations of the prehnite flash blue iridescence when rotated in the light, complementing the bright, well-crystallized copper. A beautifully composed piece that showcases the mineralogical diversity of Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula.

Ex. Sparks Collection.

Note: There is a small amount of glue residue on the underside, left over from a previous display mount. It is not visible from the display sides of the piece.
