Smoky Quartz on Microcline

This dramatic, showy cabinet piece consists of a robust microcline crystal adorned by numerous smoky quartz crystals grouped in attractive clusters. The microcline is lustrous and well defined, with lightly textured broad faces. While the microcline is impressive in its own right, its pairing with really smoky quartz takes it up a notch. Gemmy quartz crystals are strewn about, extending in distinct groupings from the microcline. To top it all off, the largest smoky quartz is actually a gwindel quartz! Though the signature "twist" that gwindels are known for is subtle, it still makes an impact to the discerning eye. A truly incredible specimen with big visual impact!
