Quartz Var. Herkimer Diamond with Enhydro

This lovely Herkimer Diamond features a host of exciting inclusions such as negative crystals, a small enhydro with a tiny anthraxolite floater, and internal voids. The enhydro inclusion is full of fluid with a small grain of black anthraxolite that moves slowly through the pocket. In addition to these internal details, the crystal has a vitreous luster, double terminations, and excellent clarity. Small contact imprints show where it grew in contact with the host rock, the Little Falls Dolostone. A beautiful, water-clear Herkimer Diamond that that well exemplifies this renowned quartz variety.
