Bright, lustrous metallic galena displaying excellent dodecahedral form with complex skeletal growth. This densely packed cluster of well-formed crystals showcases the intricate crystallization for which Peruvian galena is known. The crystal faces have a distinctive machined appearance that sets this specimen apart from much of the galena on the market, with fine details delicately intergrown throughout the cluster. Groupings of small white quartz crystals are scattered throughout the piece, adding texture and contrast against the dark metallic faces. The galena crystals formed over pyrite, nearly engulfing the "fool's gold" sulfide entirely, with only a small exposure visible on the underside of the piece.
