An attractive grouping of elongated clear quartz crystals extending out from a plate of green epidote. The cluster has formed crystals on all sides, with epidote present along some quartz faces. A lovely specimen out of the Hongxizhen Mineral Prospect in Sichuan, China with excellent sculptural appeal making it difficult to determine which side to display it from!
Recently, epidote & quartz specimens out of Turkey have gained popularity as "fairy forest epidote & quartz." This excellent specimen offers an appealing alternative of this mineral pairing, with more elongated crystals than those seen on the Turkish specimens. The epidote crystals offer beautiful color and contrast without obscuring the form of the prismatic quartz crystals, forming a well balanced, aesthetically pleasing look.
