A broad matrix specimen from the Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds County, Missouri, showcasing a rich association of galena and calcite. Galena crystals in silver-gray octahedral habit with stepped faces are distributed densely across the surface, becoming particularly well-defined toward the specimen's outer edges. The matrix is composed of fine crystalline material with scattered brassy chalcopyrite contributing warm flashes of color throughout. Golden-yellow calcite crystals emerge at several points along the edges, their translucent character and warm hue providing a natural contrast against the cooler metallic tones of the galena. A visually commanding piece that captures the mineralogical diversity for which the Sweetwater Mine has long been recognized as one of Missouri's most celebrated lead-zinc deposits.
