A superb vanadinite specimen from Mibladen, Morocco, showcasing an impressive combination of crystal sizes and color zonation that demonstrates the full range of this locality's potential. The piece features a dramatic contrast between a dense drusy coating of tiny, glittering orange vanadinite crystals that blanket the lower portion of the specimen and a crown of much larger, well-formed hexagonal crystals at the apex that display deep red to orange-red coloration. The luster throughout is exceptional, with both the micro-crystalline matrix and the larger prismatic crystals exhibiting strong vitreous surfaces that create an eye-catching sparkle. Color gradation moves seamlessly from rich burnt orange in the drusy areas through various shades of red-orange to deeper crimson in select larger crystals, with some individuals showing attractive internal zoning. The larger crystals are sharply terminated with clean hexagonal faces and edges, standing prominently above the glittering base and providing excellent three-dimensionality. This specimen effectively captures the aesthetic diversity that Mibladen vanadinite can offer, combining miniature brilliance with bold, well-defined crystal forms in a single dramatic presentation.
