A superb serandite thumbnail specimen from the 1988 find in Poudrette Quarry. Fantastic in both color and luster, this specimen beautifully exemplifies why this particular serandite discovery is still hailed as the best of all-time to this day. The reflection of light off of its surface is intense and amplified my internal reflections from below the gemmy surface. This crystal displays the most intense color on the main face of the crystal, with the neighboring parallel-growth faces being slightly less saturated. The specimen is complete on one face, and is bounded by cleaved sides and back. This does not detract from its beauty, as the color and luster easily steals the show. A Poudrette Quarry classic, increasing in scarcity on the market!
