Quartz Var. Herkimer Diamond

Amazing, water-clear, Herkimer Diamond specimen. This crystal is of exceptional clarity and quality for a Herkimer Diamond of its size, making it the perfect addition to a high-end mineral collection. A few inclusions of black pyrobitumen sit encased within the crystal. Several contact indentations (shown in photos) show where it grew in contact with the host rock, the Little Falls dolostone.
