Quartz Var. Druzy Quartz

A sparkling druzy quartz plate from the Ace of Diamonds mine in New York. This specimen is richly coated with countless microcrystals that produce a bright, even shimmer across the surface. The natural contour of the piece, combined with its warm beige to tan coloration, makes it a particularly attractive example of druzy quartz from this well-known Herkimer diamond locality. Collected in October of 2023, in the final month Ace of Diamonds Mine was in operations.
