A sharp double-terminated Herkimer "diamond" quartz crystal perched on a druse layer of quartz matrix. The main crystal displays excellent form with glassy, water-clear luster and typical Herkimer-style double terminations. The quartz druse base is coated in golden-brown iron oxides, giving strong contrast against the clear crystal. From the now-closed Ace of Diamonds Mine, Middleville, Herkimer County, New York, material that is no longer being actively collected following the mine's 2023 closure.
