Celestine

Phenomenal in both crystal arrangement and luster, this fine celestine specimen displays fantastic radial formation with hundreds of glistening faces. I've noticed this interesting habit in a handful of few pieces I've collected from this locale, however, few have such a sculptural appearance to them. They're somewhat reminiscent of the shape of gwindel quartz, as each crystal looks to be rotated around some axis. From the Sylvania Minerals Quarry in Monroe County MI, located just 6 miles from the more well-known Holloway Quarry. I collected this piece myself in the summer of 2023.
